What to wear in Hawaii in April
The weather in Hawaii in April is pretty warm. During the daytime, it’s usually around 70 to 80 Fahrenheit. So if you’re looking to explore the island during this time of year, make sure to wear something lightweight and comfortable.
1. Butterfly sleeve set
This butterfly sleeve outfit is definitely one of my absolute favorites on this list. It’s so vibrant, colorful, and just screams “vacation!”

2. Boho off shoulder dress
I swear, anything that’s off-the-shoulder always looks super elegant and put together. I don’t know why, lol.
This matcha green off-the-should maxi dress is absolutely stunning, and perfect for a brunch date or a night out in Hawaii.
3. Swimwear cover up
Nighttime in Hawaii can get a little chilly (somewhere around mid 60 degrees farenheit)
So if you’re thinking about heading to the beach to catch the sunset or get a drink, wear a bikini cover-up like this one to keep warm.
The color is super versatile and literally goes with any bikini you wear.

2. Casual platform sandals
Sure, flip-flops are comfy But if you plan on visiting some fancy restaurants or bars in Hawaii, you might want to take off those sandy/muddy flip-flops.

What clothes to pack for a week in Hawaii?
To pack for a week in Hawaii, you’ll need:
- 4 pairs of shorts
- 2 sundresses
- 1 pair of flowy pants
- 2 swimsuits
- 1 cover-up
- 1 pair of sunglasses
- 1 hat or visor
- 1 pair of flip flops
- 1 pair of sandals
- 4 t-shirts or tank tops
- 2 long-sleeved shirts or light sweaters

What should you not wear in Hawaii?
In general, I’d recommend not wearing anything made of synthetic materials that don’t breathe. Like leather…omg, please don’t!
You’ll be much more comfortable in natural fibers like linen or cotton. And don’t even think about wearing jeans – they’re just going to make you hot and sticky.
If you want to stay cool, wear loose, light-colored clothing. A sun hat is also a good idea to keep the sun off your face. And remember, always apply sunscreen!
Have fun and stay safe : )
